The Premise Lab is an independent LSAT-style practice and performance analysis platform. This Privacy Policy explains how The Premise Lab collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the website, create an account, answer practice questions, save progress, review analytics, or interact with study tools.

By using The Premise Lab, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, you should not use The Premise Lab.

We collect information you provide directly, information created through your use of The Premise Lab, and limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

• Account information: email address, username or display name, authentication identifiers, account status, and related login information.
• Study and performance data: question attempts, selected answers, correct answers, accuracy, question type, section type, flagged questions, timestamps, score estimates, full-test history, pacing data, and study analytics.
• Guest or local data: if you use guest mode, some progress may be stored locally in your browser and may not sync across devices.
• Technical data: browser type, device type, approximate usage events, deployment logs, error information, and security-related information needed to maintain the platform.
• Feedback information: if you submit feedback, we may collect the text of your feedback and any contact information you choose to provide.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to operate The Premise Lab, authenticate users, save progress, restore sessions, provide practice analytics, display score estimates, generate study summaries, improve explanations, troubleshoot bugs, prevent abuse, maintain security, and communicate service-related updates.

The Premise Lab does not sell your personal information. The Premise Lab does not use your personal study data to train third-party AI models unless a future version of the service clearly discloses that use and obtains any consent required by applicable law.

4. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

The Premise Lab may use browser local storage, cookies, or similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember guest progress, preserve interface preferences, improve the user experience, and maintain security. You may clear local browser storage through your browser settings, but doing so may delete guest-mode progress or local settings.

5. Service Providers

The Premise Lab uses third-party service providers to operate the platform. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to The Premise Lab.

• Supabase: authentication, database storage, and saved user progress.
• Vercel: website hosting, deployment, logs, and performance infrastructure.
• GitHub: source code hosting and deployment integration.
• Feedback tools: if feedback is collected through a third-party form or survey tool, that tool may process submitted responses.
• Future payment providers: if subscriptions are added, a payment processor such as Stripe may process payment information. The Premise Lab does not intend to store full payment card details directly.

6. Data Sharing

The Premise Lab may share limited information with service providers that help operate the service, comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Use, protect users, investigate abuse, respond to lawful requests, or support a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

The Premise Lab does not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and study data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain user progress, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and improve the product. Guest-mode data may remain in your browser until you clear it or reset local stats. You may request deletion of account data using the contact method below.

8. Security

The Premise Lab uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information. However, no internet service can guarantee perfect security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for signing out on shared devices.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also use The Premise Lab in guest mode, sign out, clear local browser storage, or request deletion of account data.

10. Children's Privacy

The Premise Lab is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
