Terms of Use

Last updated: June 11, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of The Premise Lab, an independent LSAT-style practice and performance analysis platform. By using the website, creating an account, saving progress, completing practice questions, or accessing any part of the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use The Premise Lab.

2. Educational Purpose Only

The Premise Lab is provided for educational and self-study purposes only. The platform is designed to help users practice LSAT-style reasoning, review mistakes, track progress, and identify study patterns. The Premise Lab does not guarantee any LSAT score, score increase, admissions result, scholarship outcome, employment result, or academic result. Any score ranges, analytics, practice recommendations, or study summaries are estimates and should not be treated as official predictions.

3. Independent and Unofficial LSAT-Style Content

The Premise Lab is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by the Law School Admission Council, LSAC, LawHub, or any official LSAT administrator. References to “LSAT” are used only to describe the type of educational preparation and reasoning practice offered through the service.

Unless otherwise stated, the questions, passages, explanations, review tools, analytics, and study materials on The Premise Lab are original LSAT-style materials. The Premise Lab does not claim that its materials are official LSAT questions or official LSAC materials.

4. Beta Product Notice

The Premise Lab may be offered as a beta, early-stage, or experimental product. Features may change, break, be removed, become unavailable, or be replaced as the platform develops. Study data, saved progress, analytics, and account features may be modified as part of maintenance, bug fixes, abuse prevention, content updates, or product improvements.

5. Accounts and Security

Some features may be available in guest mode, while saved progress across devices may require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs through your account. You agree to provide accurate account information and to contact The Premise Lab if you believe your account has been compromised.

6. User Progress and Study Data

The Premise Lab may save question attempts, selected answers, correct answers, flagged questions, timing data, score estimates, full-test history, section history, and related performance analytics. The Premise Lab aims to preserve saved progress, but it does not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent storage, error-free calculations, or lossless data syncing.

You give The Premise Lab permission to process your study data as needed to operate the service, maintain your account, restore progress, generate analytics, prevent abuse, troubleshoot bugs, and improve the product, consistent with the Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse The Premise Lab. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Accessing or attempting to access another user's account, saved progress, or private data.
  • Scraping, crawling, bulk exporting, copying, or mass downloading content.
  • Reselling, redistributing, republishing, or publicly posting The Premise Lab content without permission.
  • Reverse engineering, bypassing access controls, probing security systems, or attacking the service.
  • Using automated tools to overload, spam, interfere with, or disrupt the platform.
  • Using The Premise Lab for unlawful, abusive, misleading, or fraudulent purposes.

8. Intellectual Property

The Premise Lab and its original content, design, code, question materials, explanations, passages, study tools, scoring logic, and analytics are owned by The Premise Lab or its owner, except for third-party services, marks, or materials referenced for interoperability, hosting, authentication, payment processing, or descriptive purposes.

Subject to these Terms, you may use The Premise Lab for personal, non-commercial study. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, license, republish, or create competing datasets from The Premise Lab content without written permission.

9. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds

The Premise Lab may currently be offered for free, as a beta product, or with limited early-access features. If paid subscriptions, trials, premium tools, or paid content are introduced, additional billing terms may apply, including pricing, renewal, cancellation, failed payment, and refund terms. Payment processing may be handled by a third-party payment provider.

Unless a separate refund policy states otherwise, fees for future paid features may be non-refundable except where required by law.

10. Third-Party Services

The Premise Lab may rely on third-party services such as Supabase, Vercel, GitHub, analytics tools, email tools, and future payment processors. The Premise Lab is not responsible for third-party service interruptions, outages, policies, security incidents, pricing changes, or technical changes outside The Premise Lab's control.

11. Disclaimers

The Premise Lab is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Premise Lab disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Premise Lab and its owner will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost study progress, test outcomes, admissions outcomes, scholarships, or reliance on score estimates, analytics, explanations, or recommendations.

13. Termination

The Premise Lab may suspend or terminate access to the service at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for the platform or other users, interfered with the service, or used the product in an abusive, unlawful, or fraudulent way. You may stop using The Premise Lab at any time.

14. Changes to These Terms

The Premise Lab may update these Terms as the product changes. If changes are material, we may provide notice through the website or by other reasonable means. Continued use of The Premise Lab after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where The Premise Lab's owner is located, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
